Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager/Bookkeeper to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills and have experience in managing dealership financials and office environments, particularly in the dealership setting. This role requires effective communication, leadership, and the ability to self manage as well as work with a great team. The Office Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently. Luft Trailer Sales heavily relies on this role on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a productive work environment
- Complete sales tax for dealership, monthly
- Complete bank balance and reconciliation of accounts, weekly
- Payables and receivables data entry and management
- Errands; including mail picking up and dropping off & deposits to the bank using personal vehicle
- Supervise and complete all financial processes
- Maintain accurate records and filing
- Utilize dealer management software, Lightspeed, for financial management and bookkeeping tasks
- Set up dealer preferences in the dealer management software for each department, as needed
- Communicate effectively with owners, manager, staff, vendors, and clients to foster positive relationships
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health and safety regulations within the dealership setting
Experience
- Proven experience in office management and Bookkeeping
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in providing financial reports, as well as, the ability to read and interpret financial reports such as P&L & Balance Sheet
- Understanding of credits and debits, Chart of Accounts and Journal Entries
- Ability to complete Payroll and employee onboarding/departures
- Proficiency in advanced accounting or DMS software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse groups of people
- Strong computer abilities including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Adobe
Luft Trailer Sales was started in a pasture in 1991 when Tom, Teresa, Josey and Shane Luft moved from Kansas to Ellensburg WA. A stock trailer had to be purchased in order to make the move and once they arrived in Ellensburg it quickly sold. Another trailer then had to be purchased to go back and get the horses and again it quickly sold. This cycle continued and every time Tom would go back to the Midwest for work, he would bring a trailer back. Soon Tom was installing hitches in the driveway at night. He worked out of the house selling trailers for 3 years while doing other jobs and in 1994 he moved the business to the next location on Canyon Rd in Ellensburg. The business grew so fast that within a year we were already out of space and had to keep expanding. In 1999 we opened another store in Chehalis, which was later moved to Rochester, WA. After many years at the Ellensburg location, we purchased the Superior Lamb packing plant and started remodeling the building. In spring 2007 it was completed. We are continually remodeling and improving the business. It has grown from a double wide trailer house and pasture to a 3,000sqft showroom for parts and accessories, 4,000sqft shop and receiving room, and 5 acres filled with a variety of trailers.
This position will work Saturdays, as needed. A 32 hour week is able to be discussed at time of interview.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
