We are searching for an experienced legal office manager who can help run the day-to-day operations of our busy law firm. Additional responsibilities include human resources tasks like hiring, onboarding, and training new talent, and overseeing employee benefits. You will also be responsible for planning our events throughout the year. Responsibilities

  • Review and Input data entry fields for income and expenses in Quickbooks
  • Reconcile the various legal accounts each month
  • Oversee all employee benefits, such as health insurance enrollments and renewals, long and short term disability, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) and profit-sharing options
  • Keep track of staff evaluation periods and ensure a timely completion
  • Bring new talent to the firm and onboard new employees
  • Plan meetings and off-site client appreciation events
  • Direct day-to-day office operations, provide administrative support for legal services, and enforce office procedures

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the legal industry, (legal research, legal terminology, and case management practices) is valuable
  • Requires strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and time management skills to effectively multi-task in this role
  • 5 years' experience in a legal department as a legal administrative assistant, support staff, executive assistant, bookkeeper, legal assistant, or legal secretary is necessary - Similar experience as an office administrator or medical office management is also acceptable
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a two-year degree program in public administration, human resources, paralegal studies, or similar area is required - Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Exceptional computer skills including MS Office (word, excel, and email) is crucial
