Battery Discharge Engineer – Miami
Salary: $115K - $150K/yr | Full-time

Position Overview:
Seeking an engineer with expertise in disassembly, assessment, and recycling of end-of-life battery systems. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of battery technologies and a focus on material recovery and environmental impact reduction.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop battery systems, including cell selection and architecture.
- Perform battery simulations and design circuits for voltage and current sensing.
- Develop models for state-of-charge estimation.
- Conduct due diligence on designs and fabricate electrochemical cells.
- Research new energy materials and work with lab technicians.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in battery disassembly, recycling, or lifecycle management (automotive, energy storage, or electronics).
- Knowledge of lithium-ion and other common battery chemistries.
- Understanding of safety regulations for battery handling and disposal.
- Experience with battery management systems and diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automated disassembly systems or robotics.
- Knowledge of environmental testing and battery recycling trends.
