Luna Data Solutions has an exciting long term contract opportunity for an Agile Scrum Project Lead in Austin, TX
- W2 only
- Hybrid, must be local to Austin Metro area, 2-3 days onsite initially, onsite frequency could increase
- 12 months initially, extension possible
- Retention bonus program (for this client only)
Project: Evaluate the needs for next generation data warehouse platform. Architect the solution and development path forward to modernize the data management abilities that benefit current and future data needs.
- Gather business, functional, and non-functional requirements, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Introduce and refine Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) tailored to the organization's needs.
- Coach teams on Agile best practices to ensure adherence to Agile principles and methodologies.
- Design and implement Kanban boards to: Visualize work; Limit Work in Progress (WIP); Optimize workflow.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in workflows for more efficient task completion.
- Provide training on managing Kanban systems to improve real-time visibility and enable faster decision-making.
- Coordinate and run workshops to: Collect and discover business needs; Mediate between business units with conflicting requirements.
- Document requirements and obtain sign-off from business teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams to: Discover patterns and relationships in business data entities; Document business requirements and system design using agency-approved formats.
- Develop technical specifications, including: STM; Reporting requirements; Dataset content requirements; User interaction guidelines and data usage purposes.
- Work closely with product owners to: Refine and prioritize the product backlog; Align tasks with business goals and customer needs.
- Implement Agile backlog grooming practices to ensure sprint readiness.
- Use estimation techniques to help teams understand priorities and capacity for upcoming iterations.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Daily standups; Sprint planning; Sprint reviews; Retrospectives.
- Establish and monitor Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, burn-down charts) to: track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate transparent communication between development teams and stakeholders to align on goals and progress.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and actionable insights.
