Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening for a Sr IT PM resource with our public sector industry client located in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role, in which this resource must work 2-3 days / week onsite.
Senior IT Project Manager

Initial duration through 8 / 31 / 2025, extension possible
This contract position will support the IT Modernization and Windows Server 2016 Migration project. This complex project will include working with internal staff and a third-party vendor to complete a thorough assessment of the IT infrastructure and application environment.
- This position will be responsible for performing highly complex (senior level) project management work.
- Work involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities of the designated IT project.
- Ensuring goals of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Securing resource time and coordinating efforts of team members and / or consultants to deliver the project according to schedule.
- Defining project objectives and overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle.
- Managing the project scope, schedule, and budget. Planning, assigning, and overseeing the work of others.
