Essential Job Functions
- In collaboration with the Director of Life Enrichment, develop and implement programs to enhance the social, occupational, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical condition of the population.
- Ensure department compliance with federal and state regulations. Report all areas of potential deficiency to the Administrator or designee.
- Ensure timely completion of activity documentation that may be required in all areas of the organization, including, but not limited to quarterly activity documentation, care plan, attendance records and one on one interaction.
- Welcome new residents and introduce them to the activity program. Evaluate individual needs and concerns.
- Contribute to the development of monthly activity calendars for residents.
- Assist with group outings.
- Coordinate group parties/activities.
- Assist with campus holiday decorations.
- Coordinate intergenerational events relating to recreation with external community organizations.
- Maintain a shopping list for supplies needed for activities.
- Participate in continuing education courses to keep certifications current and to promote new/innovative programs at Lutheran Life Villages.
- Transport Residents to and from activities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Two (2) years' experience in long term care, recreation, wellness, or related field preferred
- Valid driver's license in the state of Indiana
- Safe driving record with the ability to be covered on a company motor vehicle insurance plan
- CNA certification is a PLUS!
