What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Accounts Manager position at Luxco, Inc.?
We are looking to hire a National Accounts Sales Manager to join our Luxco team. The primary task of the National Account Manager is to develop, maintain, and grow customer relationships to drive overall case and profit volume within the defined account list. In this role, you will meet and interact with customers to discuss their needs and future plans for their business, therefore presenting the portfolio as a solution to these plans/needs. The National Account Manager will also work closely with the Division Managers across the country to implement programming to drive new activations and confirm we are meeting our buyers’ expectations at state level. This will include but not be limited to incentives, distribution drives, account activation, demos, inventory, etc. This position reports to the National Account Business Unit Manager.

What will you do?

- Create and monitor account specific targets to drive Sales within a defined account list.
- Cultivate a trusting and professional relationship with your customers.
- Meet with customers regularly to ensure needs are being met and discuss future opportunities.
- Discuss and implement plans going forward that will correct and/or strengthen distribution, displays, ads and promotional opportunities in the market.
- Review competitive activity including pricing with the distributor sales management. What types of programs or pricing are working on our competitive target brands? Supplier activity and manpower changes.
- Ensure adequate Point-of-sale is available and used effectively in the market.
- Implement marketing promotion campaigns with key accounts in conjunction with the distributors. Make independent calls on key accounts
- Work with respective Division Managers across the country to implement appropriate pricing, programming/promotion, and point of sale at account level.
- Discuss opportunities in specific markets and drive towards an equitable profitability level to drive brand awareness.
- Work with distributor National Account Teams to build meaningful relationships with assigned decision makers. Additionally, searching for new opportunities and customers to engage.
- Develop distributor KPIs to ensure appropriate priorities and tools are in place to align with the company focus.
- Continue to analyze current accounts to drive additional business by finding POD gaps, innovation opportunities, promotional opportunities, etc.
- Drive profitability by analyzing existing account list and price structures with Division Managers and Analyst team.
- Take leadership role in communicating with executives, customer service and support staff.
- Manage point-of sale, expense and rebate budgets all within budgeted guidelines.
- Meet all administrative deadlines. This includes expenses reports, marketing request, and competitive market information request.
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in place of degree.
- 5 years of Sales Experience in Wine & Liquor Industry, National Account experience preferred.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficient), communication skills (oral and written), critical and analytical thinking.
