The Human Resource Coordinator provides assistance to the human resource department for five (5) County Human Service Agencies within Luzerne/Wyoming Counties. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits related problems and ensures effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. The human resource coordinator ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to human resources function as needed including record keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current Submits the online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks * Reconciles benefits statements Assists with the onboarding process Assists with the processing of terminations, promotions, and hirings Assists with the tracking of the performance reviews Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow up letters at the end of the recruiting process Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical functions Provides administrative support to the department Assists or prepares correspondence Prepares and maintains employee files Processes the mail * Performs other duties as assigned
