Your role
As a Purchasing Agent Planner at LVD Strippit, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our North American facility. You’ll manage the entire sourcing process, securing essential commodities, materials, and services to keep production running smoothly. Your expertise in supplier selection, negotiation, and timely delivery will directly impact our efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Serving as a key link between departments, you’ll align procurement with their needs while optimizing overall costs. By coordinating with LVD’s global sourcing teams, you’ll help implement best practices, ensuring our North American operations remain competitive and efficient.
Your responsibilities
- Request tenders, select suppliers, and negotiate the purchase of goods and services within your area of responsibility to ensure the best possible conditions in terms of price, quality, and delivery lead time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for other departments within LVD Strippit, ensuring that purchasing meets their needs while considering the total cost efficiency for the entire organization.
- Define, adjust, and monitor stock parameters to ensure smooth production and maintain control over inventory value. Monitor lead times to align with production requirements and maintain a fluid process.
- Conduct regular and structured consultations with sourcing departments in other LVD Group manufacturing facilities (Belgium, Slovakia, China, US) to best align purchase processes.
- Follow up on the correct delivery of ordered goods and services to ensure that LVD Strippit receives commodities, equipment, materials, and services within the set timeframe.
- Identify and implement commercial opportunities to continuously improve cost efficiency.
- Keep your knowledge and skills in sourcing and planning up to date to ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage purchase administration to ensure smooth processing.
- Perform various other associated duties as required.
- Carry out other duties assigned as necessary.

Qualifications
- Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, manufacturing, or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of sourcing and/or planning experience in an industrial setting.
- Solid knowledge of industrial equipment and technologies.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft 365 software.
- Effective use of appropriate platforms within the business operating system.
- Ability to interpret blueprints/drawings is highly desired.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment occasionally.
- Availability to travel internationally on occasion.
