Lyndon Institute is seeking a passionate and experienced Adult CTE Education Coordinator to lead and develop cutting-edge programs for adult learners in the Northeast Kingdom. Our adult learning program capitalizes on our technical center resources, including welding, manufacturing, automotive repair and allied health facilities to craft adult learning opportunities aligned with industry trends, modern technology and labor market needs. This position is scheduled to work 12-months per year; 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of Adult CTE programs aligned with Vermont state standards, industry needs, and community priorities.
- Recruit instructors in collaboration with business and community partners to design and deliver relevant, high-quality programs that equip adults with the skills and knowledge for successful careers in high-demand fields.
- Conduct outreach and recruitment activities to attract adult learners to CTE programs.
- Develop and manage the Adult CTE budget, recognizing that program growth leads to additional financial resources.
- Advise and support adult learners in their academic and career planning.
- Track student progress, analyze data, and report on program outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, workforce development, or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in adult education, program development, or a related field. Masters Degree preferred.
- Should possess a valid Vermont teaching license with the "Assistant Director for Adult Education" endorsement (5440-20) or be eligible to obtain. Lyndon Institute will pay many of the licensing costs.
- Experience working specifically with Adult CTE programs or community learning initiatives is a strong benefit.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and implementation.
