Our client, is looking for a Lab Technician to join their team in Belleville, IL. You will prepare samples for analysis within method required holding times.
Your Day:
- Prepare samples for analysis within method required holding times.
- General upkeep of the laboratory environment, including maintaining glassware, reagent preparation, weighing, and pipetting samples.
- Understand and follow all QA/QC protocols to assist the research laboratory in doing sample analysis with Standard Methods for Water and EPA methods.
- Prepare bottles and documents for shipping out sampling kits to internal customers.
- Promote a positive team environment to enhance performance and safety in the laboratory.
- Cross train in other areas to meet developmental goals.
- Assist in maintaining and stocking laboratory supplies within budget.
About You:
- Associates Degree in science related field required.
- Technical training equivalent or additional relevant experience may be substituted for Associates Degree.
- One year of lab experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry and laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of QA/QC programs
- Familiar with EPA, NELAC and OSHA rules and regulations
Schedule and Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- $18.00 to $20.00 /hr
