Responsibilities
Work in the laboratory to convert materials into lithium-sulfur battery concepts
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the lab in accordance with the 5S methodology
Work in a glovebox or dry room if required
Prepare battery components for assembly by hand, including anode, cathode, and separator, etc.
Learn to assemble batteries according to company and industry standards
Follow inventory procedures to ensure accurate tracking of materials
Create daily and weekly progress reports for the team
Monitor company and team goals, and work towards their achievement
Execute and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various lab activities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 year in a production environment or BA/BS from unrelated field
Minimum of 2 year experience working in a clean-room/dry-room environment
Preferred Qualifications
More than 1 year experience working with battery coating.
Experience Working In a Glovebox Environment Is Preferred.
Familiarity with Six Sigma and/or Lean standards and methodologies
High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Familiarity with battery technology and/or electrochemical testing
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, lab coats, safety glasses, and respirators as required
Ability to stand for extended periods of time during laboratory experiments and battery assembly.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensations Range
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$31.63 - $47.50
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
