What does our Technology department do at M&G? M&G plc has gone through an exciting and challenging journey over the past year, with huge ambition and international growth at its core. The Technology team underpins almost every element of M&G Plc’s strategic direction through its support of the transformation agenda and providing a stable foundation for the business. Not only do we advise, implement and support excellent technical platforms, we also work hard with our business partners to drive the transformation of our organisation to meet our customers’ expectations of speed, information and value for money. Our industry is not standing still, and neither are we; digital disruption is a huge opportunity and it is an incredible time to work in financial technology. What is the M&G Graduate Scheme? Our graduate scheme is a 18 – 24 months immersive dive into the world of M&G, starting on 1 September 2023. You will be taking part in up to 4, 6-month rotations across our Technology business. At the end of the scheme, you will embark on a permanent role in a team aligned to your skillset and interests. Your three week induction will be a mixture of formal industry-focused training, and business insight sessions from our experienced professionals: you will go into your first rotation with a core understanding of who we are, our strategies and products, and customers & clients. We continue this learning throughout the programme, with a mix of on the job and formal training relevant to your role - you will have access to in-house training opportunities and a host of learning materials within our Workday learning portal. Your manager will work with you on an individual personal development plan during the programme, and you will also be allocated a buddy from our previous graduate cohort, you will also have the opportunity to attend networking and social events during your time here. What will you be doing? Being an active participant in our Agile feature teams: providing delivery support, defining requirements, developing and testing code to support our transformational change agenda. Contributing to the delivery of M&G’s digital transformation ambitions whilst developing knowledge in Platform and DevOps engineering and building and supporting M&G’s Cloud and Core technology. Helping build out analytics products that deliver insights into business stakeholders. Playing a leading role in implementing our security focus through assessment of third party security posture, delivering engaging security awareness materials to colleagues, and advising strategic M&G projects on security controls. Contributing to the growth of the investment data platform that sources, connects & distributes data to meet investment, client and regulatory requirements. Minimum Requirements Recent graduate/ expected graduation date of 2023, with an achieved/ expected grade of 2:1 or above. Available to start the programme on 1 September 2023.
