Landscape Crew Leader

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Landscape Crew Leader to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for landscaping, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Possitive attitude!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of landscapers in daily operations.
• Transport equipment and materials to job sites using a truck and trailer.
• Train and oversee junior crew members to ensure quality workmanship.
• Plan and manage tasks efficiently to complete projects on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service and coordinate with clients as needed.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems for optimal plant hydration.
• Operate landscaping equipment safely, including stand-on mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Apply herbicides and other chemicals following proper safety protocols.
• Ensure worksite safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
• Lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Must pass a background check for military-related work assignments.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
• Proficiency with iPad technology for record-keeping and communication.
• Availability to work a 4-day work week, starting at 6:30 AM until job completion.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, including herbicide application.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in landscape maintenance techniques and best practices.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Knowledge of plant species, their care requirements, and seasonal needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly regarding irrigation systems and plant health.
• Effective leadership and teamwork skills to oversee and guide junior crew members.
