Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing operations of the Production for maximum efficiency and profitability. Core responsibilities include strategic initiatives for equipment, personnel, and facility development, metrics development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Ultimate responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Shop Efficiency, Inventory management / Turns and shop profitability.
Job Requirements :
The Production Manager should have at least 5 years of successful operations management experience in a machine or grinding shop.
Significant experience managing and directing profitable Machine Shop Business.
- Team Leadership - Coach, mentor and develop production team ensuring proper training, and adherence to the Quality Management systems (ISO 9001, AS 9100 and ISO 13485)
- Excellent PC skills - Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Scheduling & Workflow management - Planning production schedules, monitor work orders, adjust priorities to optimize throughput and customer requirements.
- Communication & Coordination : Serve as the key link between production, sales, and management to ensure alignment on priorities and customer expectations.
- Spanish language capabilities desirable.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or (12 grade 10 years machine shop supervisory experience)

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.
