What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Engineer position at M-Team Solutions?
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer in the Columbus, OH area.
- Responsible for establishing and identifying accounts and concepts in the material handling systems industry.
- Will work with estimating to develop pricing and proposals, and negotiate contracts.
- Determine customer needs and critique proposed material handling systems to determine the likelihood of the customer purchasing.
- Meet with customers, review jobsites, occasional limited climbing.
- Develop close customer relationships with key decision makers in purchasing, engineering, and at the plant levels.
- Provides product, service, or equipment, technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests. Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
- Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.
- Help clients solve problems with installed equipment, work with installation department. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
- Prepare schedules, charts, and support installations. Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery. Plan and modify products to meet customer need.
About the Role - A four year bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. 4 years’ experience in automation, material handling, conveyors, PLC's, or other industrial equipment. Interest or experience in technical sales and business development.
