What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baggage Handling System/BHS position at Maania Consultancy Services?
Education/Experience Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional registration/license preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive responsibility within the construction industry
- Required experience: airport terminal buildings, airport terminal facilities and systems at a medium and/or large air carrier airport.
- Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
- Oversee the preparation of design and construction documents for baggage handling systems engineering projects including conveying systems; mechanical services, fixtures, equipment, and controls; and electrical power, distribution, lighting, controls, and communications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the International Building Code requirements.
- Experience initiating and maintaining liaison with prime client, in-house engineering, A/E consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Experience monitoring/controlling engineering design through administrative direction of design professions to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Experience monitoring/controlling construction through administrative direction of Contractors to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
- Ability to ensure Design Professionals meet and comply with all industry and regulatory codes, standards, and requirements.
- Experience in cost estimation and construction administration and demonstrate ability to successfully conduct meetings with contractors.
- Experience representing the client, and company in project meetings.
- Experience preparing and reviewing interim and completed project reports.
- Ability to convey project results and findings by means of oral discussions, presentations, and project documentation.
