- This is a part-time, non-permanent position that will work no more than 69 hours per month.
SPSCC) seeks a highly motivated and qualified individual for a part-time Outreach / Admissions Specialist Program Coordinator in Student Services.
The position will require a flexible working schedule for daytime, evening, and weekend work. This position will have hours scheduled based on monthly outreach events, meaning it is not a set schedule from week to week. If there are no events to attend, the balance of work hours will be scheduled in the Welcome Center to ensure the employee receives their maximum allotted hours each month.

The part-time Outreach / Admissions Specialist Program Coordinator reports directly to the Coordinator of Outreach & Recruitment. The position serves as part of the recruitment and outreach team, focusing on working in the Welcome Center, attending recruitment events and fairs, and building relationships with prospective students in our community. This position assists with providing the first steps for potential students and community members in pursuing their educational endeavors. This position will assist in developing and implementing targeted student recruitment and outreach designed to meet the enrollment goals in targeted geographic areas and specific student populations.
Responsibilities and duties of the Outreach / Admissions Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following :
Direct Outreach support to potential students :
Provide Direct support for students completing the SPSCC Getting Started / Enrollment Steps.Attend regional recruiting events such as college and career fairs, community events, JBLM educational events, local and state-wide conferences, and more.Work to meaningfully connect prospective students from historically underrepresented communities to students participating in SPSCC equity programs.Coordinate and facilitate information sessions and visits to regional schools and community-based organizations.Provide information via large and small group presentations, including coordinating Admission Information Sessions, Campus Tours, and Next Steps Information sessions.Customer Service :
Provide staffing assistance in the Welcome Center to greet prospective students and their families, answer questions, and provide support.Lead campus tours when student ambassadors are not scheduled or availableCommunicate orally and in written form with prospects and their advocates about SPSCC's admission requirements, program offerings, basic financial aid requirements and regulations, and scholarship opportunities.Provide one-on-one enrollment appointments with prospective students, as needed, to support them through becoming a student at SPSCC.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the multiple SPSCC campuses, programs, and opportunities that are of interest to prospective students and the community.Facilitate providing information to and connecting students with appropriate staff members for specialized funding programs (Dual Credit programs, Worker Retraining, Transition Studies, Veterans, etc.)Data and process management of students in the enrollment funnel :
Proactively organize, implement, and track recruitment activities and events at various schools and organizations and keep detailed data on events attended.Utilize the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to track prospect contacts, communicate with targeted groups of students, coordinate event registrations, and analyze data on prospective student interactions / conversions.Maintain a knowledge base of off-site proctoring of entry skills, placement, and testing, conduct annual training of community proctors, and administer a database of testing scores.Provide reports about outreach & recruitment activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications You Possess
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of related experience OR equivalent education / experience.Desired Qualifications
