Work in shakout areas to remove castings from molds for the mining industry and energy sector to name a few. You could help work on slurry pumps, impellers, casings, wear plates, cyclones, heating elements, valves and many other types of castings.

Physical Requirements

Positions require frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 30 pounds, less frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.

In this position the person will be required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, balance, climb and walk. Examples include the ability to: lift objects, kneel to make adjustments to a machine, bend, twist, and stretch while moving. You must have good nearsighted, farsighted and peripheral vision (contact lenses are not allowed. Glasses with prescription are ok), ability to operate a crane and forklift is also a must.

Employees are required to stand for the entire production shift and must use their hands constantly to perform this job. This is a heavy manual labor job.

Exposures include noise, vibrations, nauseous fumes, airborne particles, dust, silica, humidity, extreme temperatures, moving equipment and all types of weather.

Not following established safety protocol, SOP, directions and or instructions could result in serious bodily harm.

Required PPE:

Approved footwear; hearing protection; safety glasses; cutting PPE; gloves and other as assigned. Respirator use required for certain job tasks.
