Job Description:
The Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) in Machias, Maine is seeking a qualified Member Relations Manager.
Ideal candidates will have experience in leadership roles, understand the value of teams, be very detail oriented, excel in communications, be self-motivated and willing to explore ideas and create new value-add opportunities. Experience in supervising all aspects of member service business operations required including budget development/implementation, creation and management of digital media/marketing, creation and management of general information material and common spaces, common area cleaning, and office administration.
Responsible for the implementation of member newsletter, monitoring and highlighting member offerings, designing and executing festival/fair/holiday/seasonal and networking events. Must work well with other staff and interact closely with the Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Directors.
The Member Relations Manager must present a passion for using digital media to promote the MBACC and Members. The manager must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required by events and is able to be flexible with scheduling based on weather conditions. The qualified candidate will be able to update materials, supplies, maintain a welcoming office/building space and create engaging professional relationships. This position has great growth potential and the MBACC is willing to train the right candidate.

DUTIES
- Manage day-to-day operations
- Daily social media and website updates (LinkedIn,Instagram,FB,Indeed, ect…)
- Create business cluster highlights to promote commerce for all members
- Promote high standards of customer service to members and implement those standards
- Work closely and effectively with Board of Directors
- Attend Board meetings
- Provide Managers report/updates at Board meetings
- Create, maintain, and adhere to the annual budget: review weekly/monthly financials
- Prepare daily social media posts, update website daily and field information requests including comments and clarification of assumptions
- Solicit, review, and recommend for board approval; events, unified business events/showcase, and/or funding for growth and expansion
- Oversee all aspects of fundraisers, Annual Dinner, Workshops, and Downtown events
- Approve payables and establish priorities of payment
- Monitor receivables to ensure timely collection consistent with Chamber Event Contracts/Agreements and Membership requirements
- Perform regular property inspections and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all building systems with board and vendors
- Ensure that adequate inventories of member information, office/building supplies, and event necessary materials/supplies are on hand
- Find and create funding opportunities including grants
- Varied hours to meet weekend and after-hour event schedules
REQUIRED
- High School Diploma
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, e-mail and the internet/social media

DESIRED

Salary : $30,000 - $33,000
