What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee & Labor Relations Manager position at Twin Rivers Paper Company LLC?
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Employee & Labor Relations Manager is responsible to:
Handle routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements
Serve as the initial contact for intake and assessment of Union complaints
Analyze and interpret the intent, spirit and terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreements (“CBA”)
Participate in the Company’s long-term planning and implementation of the CBA as it relates to labor relations
Compile information and develop statistical reports on all matters pertaining to the CBA. Develop recommendations consistent with the CBA and current labor practices under regulations and statutes. Develop policy based on approved recommendations
Participate in labor contract negotiations and identify bargaining issues
Assist with hiring and termination of bargaining unit employees and recordkeeping for affirmative action compliance
Maintain knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources
Assist with preparation of documents and records for meetings with labor organizations as well as attend meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Business Degree and/or equivalent experience
Experience in conflict resolution
Computer skills to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
