What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Specialist position at Machine Solution Providers, LLC?
Machine Solution Providers (MSP) an industrial OEM has experienced substantial growth for the last several years. As our company matures, we are developing new groups and processes to accommodate the increased workload. The Aftermarket Sales team is a new group which will support our existing customer base. To that end we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who can help us develop, structure and execute our new Aftermarket procedures. This individual will work closely with the Aftermarket Team to bring our aftermarket efforts ‘up to date’.
The successful applicant will be a motivated, independent worker with a demonstrable ‘follow up and follow through’ mindset. The Aftermarket Sales; Systems Developer will play an important role in growing customer satisfaction through their efforts by helping MSP ‘close the loop’ in our current sales efforts and aid us in determining additional opportunities within our existing customer base.
This position requires a versatile and thorough individual, eager to learn, with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have some experience with MRP systems. No knowledge of machinery nor machine control systems is necessary, but some awareness of production methods would be a positive
Responsibilities
- Help develop procedures and tools to note and record Customer Site situations utilizing
- Manage the MSP Customer Contact Database
- Keep our MRP system ‘up to date’ with latest Customer and Sales documentation status
- Assist in creating Sales Estimates and Proposals utilizing existing resources and forms
- Respond to Customer inquiries; forwarding them to the proper person when appropriate
- Monitor Progress of Jobs currently on order as requested
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience customer service
- Must have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Sales experience is preferred
- Some understanding of manufacturing fundamentals would be a plus.
