Description and Qualifications
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists with various office functions associated with the collection and processing of taxes. Performs routine data entry. Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Provides customer service to the public in person, by phone, and by mail.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects and records tax payments on real estate and mobile homes
- Provides customer service by offering information and assistance to the public regarding taxes
- Assists with collecting cash for tax payments
- Processes credit card payments through AutoAgent
- Prepares Mobile Home certificates
- Provides support with other duties in the Treasurer’s office
- Performs data entry functions such as those related to tax billing and the receipt of payments collected by the Treasurer's Office and/or banks into the computer
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail; opening, sorting, and distributing as needed
- Answers the telephone and accepts mail to assist customers with various inquires
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School education or one year of related work experience. Familiarity with excel and word are preferred.
