Job Description
*Sign On Bonus for qualified hired applicants.....Medical Technologists are responsible for testing in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory. This includes pre and post sample testing along with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and participating in Continuous Quality Improvement
Qualifications
1. Must have and maintain a valid Florida Medical Laboratory Technologist license.
2. Continuing education to stay up on new technology as required by the State and Federal licensing agencies.

Job Responsibilities
§ The Technologist is primarily responsible for patient testing; this may include obtaining and pre-testing processing of samples, along with reporting results and assuring that they are delivered to the proper destination.
§ Provides analysis and technical solutions to a variety of problems that are routinely encountered under normal business activities.
§ Willing to learn and take on new projects as they come about.
§ Responsible for processing various daily, monthly and quarterly reports and all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
§ Clarify orders on patients if they are unclear, to ensure that the tests the physician intended are performed
§ Assist phlebotomist when necessary, especially in the processing of specimens.
§ In the absence of a phlebotomist the Technologist is required to keep up with specimen collection and paperwork.
