Title: Assistant Vice President, Cybersecurity Audit
Office Status: 3x a week in office
Salary: Up to $150,000 Base Bonus
A leading global investment bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Cybersecurity Audit to join its internal audit team. This role is part of the bank’s independent audit function, which evaluates risk management, regulatory compliance, and IT security across its operations. The AVP will oversee audit engagements, assess IT controls, and provide strategic insights to enhance risk management frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead audit engagements, defining scope, control procedures, timelines, and required resources.
- Independently drive audit processes, including risk assessment, sampling strategies, and testing.
- Prepare high-quality workpapers to support audit findings and conclusions.
- Deliver impactful audit reports and executive summaries.
- Conduct interviews and meetings with stakeholders on complex IT topics.
- Follow up on recommendations and ensure implementation of action plans.
- Contribute to department-wide transformation projects and process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT security, application security, network security, and data protection.
- Experience with IT risk management frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ITIL, ISO27001, etc.).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (NYDFS Cybersecurity, GLBA, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong risk management experience, including control design and IT audits.
- Ability to analyze data, assess risks, and identify key observations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- 4 years of relevant IT audit experience in financial services.
- CISA, CISSP, CISM, or PMP certifications preferred.
