What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate / AVP, Credit Analyst (ABS / Securitization) position at Madison-Davis, LLC?
Office Status: Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
Salary: $85,000 – $135,000
Responsibilities:
• Measure gross and net exposures across differing types of instruments (swaps, options and other derivatives) and counterparties.
• Compare counterparty position to thresholds for client, industry, location, etc., and highlight exceptions.
• Update counterparty credit models for changes in transaction levels, market conditions and risk appetite.
• Calculate counterparty exposures and potential losses for regulatory reporting including capital adequacy.
• Perform testing / due diligence to ensure individual counterparty transactions and net positions conform to exposure limits, collateral requirement and transaction terms.
• Develop relationships with client-facing units to better understand the risks in their businesses, the instruments they handle and their counterparty relationships.
• Develop relationships with other units such as finance, compliance, legal and IT to improve workflows and data gathering / sharing.
• Begin to network within industry through meetings, events and involvement with trade organizations to better understand emerging risk trends.
• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of credit markets and counterparty arrangements to help ensure that all counterparty arrangements are viable and properly collateralized from a credit risk management perspective.
• Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of counterparty credit risk and current practices in the market in particular.
• Have a general understanding of information technology and project management in order to best partner with colleagues in the ongoing tracking of counterparty risks for new and existing clients / products and to create meaningful modeling and analysis.
• Apply modeling and analytical skills to create meaningful measurement and reporting on key risk exposures. Communicate analytical data effectively.
