Salary: $100,000 to $130,000
Responsibilities:
- Based on commitments of mainly average riskiness, difficulty and/or complexity, the following duties, among others, are part of the CO’s job specification:
- To improve the risk result and the risk quality of the credit portfolio within his/her responsibility
- To balance risk and return focus
- Timely accurate and independent analysis of the financial and economic circumstances of single borrowers and borrowing entities (spreading of annual financial statements) as well as assigned industries and decision-making taking into account the most relevant segmentation criteria applicable to each case on hand
- Valuation of collateral and its documentation
- To fix the Rating in a consistent and risk-sensitive manner in compliance with the applicable guidelines and to overrule Ratings, if necessary
- To provide advice and support to the Market unit in the internal exposure discussion
- To get actively involved in meetings with the customer occasionally, to hold regular contact by telephone in the case of risk-critical and/or complex credit structures and/or ensure direct access to all relevant electronic deal systems (e.g. intralinks)
- To check the contract documentation (especially credit and collateral agreements) and to ensure that the decision is implemented, in particular with respect to any restrictive provisions, covenants and/or collaterals
- Identification and early detection of risks, perception of risk signals with proactive approach, maintaining name and accurate data in the Early Warning Tool (EWT and/or Credit Watchlist)
- Risk classification (situational) in cooperation with other COs to ensure a consistent, comprehensible credit policy
- To take into account portfolio targets
- To monitor and define deteriorations in creditworthiness and to pass on such commitments to the Intensive Treatment units in line with the applicable guideline (right/duty to tender).
- Duty to inform Group Head or Head of Department of process disruptions, problematic cases, relevant decisions in individual cases
- To comply with the Service Level Agreements in terms of quantity and quality
- To ensure data quality (e.g. Rating, Exposure Grids, Collateral etc.), especially with respect to regulatory requirements (Basel II, KWG)
- To promote the transfer of know-how and experience as well as team spirit
- To assist the Head of Department or Group Head in performing risk-management tasks in their area (e.g. portfolio analyses)
- To verify and act on daily and weekly overdraft reports, reporting violations
- To maintain follow-up on conditions/preconditions and their respective fulfillment
- Responsible for special projects, such as preparing for audit
- Miscellaneous responsibilities as required
