Overview:
A $3B asset-based credit fund is seeking a Fund Controller to join their team. The firm specializes in providing financing solutions to high-growth, creditworthy, and technology-enabled companies often underserved by traditional capital providers. Since its founding in 2019, the fund has built a reputation for innovative financing and a collaborative work culture. The Fund Controller will work closely with the SVP of Finance and CFO, managing all finance-related functions across the firm’s funds. Responsibilities:
- Review monthly and quarterly reports prepared by third-party fund administrators, including GP-level reporting packages.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, ensuring collaboration with external administrators.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and fund administrators to deliver accurate and timely reporting to investors.
- Prepare and manage reporting deliverables for financial institutions and key stakeholders.
- Assist the finance and operations teams with operational procedures, due diligence requests, controls, documentation, and wire transfers.
- Partner with FP&A and investment teams to support capital planning and dry powder management.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from investors and internal teams.
- Oversee capital call processes and cash reconciliations.
- Manage fund-level accounts payable processes.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- 3 years of relevant experience with (expertise in financial reporting and fund accounting).
- CPA highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
