An Excavation Laborer performs manual labor on construction sites, preparing the job site by cleaning, removing debris, transporting materials, and operating hand tools and machines, while also assisting with tasks like digging trenches and grading.

Key Responsibilities:

· Site Preparation:

Cleaning the work area, removing debris, and preparing the site for excavation.

· Material Handling:

Transporting materials to and from the site, loading and unloading construction materials.

· Digging and Excavation:

Digging trenches, excavating for utilities, and assisting with grading.

· Tool and Equipment Operation:

Operating hand tools (shovels, rakes, etc.) and potentially some machines or trucks.

· Safety:

Ensuring proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn, setting up warning devices and barricades, and following safety procedures.

· Assisting Other Workers:

Helping other laborers, guiding equipment operators, and performing other tasks as directed by supervisors.

· Cleaning and Maintenance:

Cleaning tools and equipment, maintaining the work area, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace.

· Following Instructions:

Following instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks.

· Hauling and Transporting:

Hauling dirt and other discarded materials, and transporting equipment and crew members.

· Performs other duties as assigned
