POSITION: Trail Guide
LOCATION: Blue Ash, OH
REPORTS TO: Front of House Manager, Parks & Rec
STATUS: Part-Time (Non-Exempt - Hourly)
COMPENSATION RANGE: $8 per hour, plus tips
POSITION SUMMARY: The Trail Guide creates the crucial first impression for guests while ensuring smooth operations of our Front Of House systems. As the primary point of contact for arriving guests and phone inquiries, they provide warm welcomes and clear guidance throughout our space. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors – Connect, Grow, and Give a F*ck.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide warm, genuine greetings to all arriving guests.
- Guide guests through our self-seating process and space layout.
- Manage reservation systems and private event bookings.
- Answer phone calls professionally and handle inquiries effectively.
- Monitor dining room flow and communicate capacity updates to team.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of facility layout, offerings, and events.
- Handle guest questions about menu items, allergens, and dietary restrictions.
- Coordinate with service team to ensure smooth guest experiences.
- Manage waiting lists during peak periods.
- Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally.
- Maintain clean and organized entrance and waiting areas.
- Support special events and private functions as needed.
- Process to-go orders and merchandise sales.
- Maintain updated knowledge of upcoming events and promotions.
- Execute opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Participate in training and knowledge development programs.
- Be ready and willing to help with other job-related duties as needed.
- Spend up to 16 hours per year volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives with excitement, encouraging your teammates to do the same.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities satisfactorily. - High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently talk and hear.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
