Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated On & Off-premise Sales Representative to join our team in Central Alabama. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for building strong relationships with our customers and increasing overall sales volume. Your primary duties will include preparing appointments, pulling the correct samples, and setting objectives for designated accounts ahead of time. You'll also be expected to identify opportunities to increase overall wine and spirits distribution through BTB/BTG, spirits, cocktail menu placement, and retail shelf space.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You'll also require a strong understanding of wine and spirits industry trends and regulations, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic mathematical skills. Additionally, you should be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. If you're enthusiastic, driven, and eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with our customers to drive sales growth and increase customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to increase overall wine and spirits distribution through BTB/BTG, spirits, cocktail menu placement, and retail shelf space.
• Prepare for the work day and week by organizing appointments, pulling the correct samples, and setting objectives for designated accounts ahead of time.
• Call on assigned accounts to increase sales volume, merchandise, monitor prices, and manage shelf space.
• Manage daily retail inventory levels using sales history, competitive activity, promotional activities, etc..
• Prepare appointments and objectives for supplier ride withs.
• Sample customers on products (wine, spirits).
• Work with other service reps, merchandising team, management, and our customers to maximize sales.
• Introduce and sell-in new brands and packages to assigned retailers (wine, spirits).
• Cultivate a superior knowledge of MadVines products.
• Create strong relationships with our customers by providing dependable, friendly, and appreciative service.
• Work with the accounting department to resolve any AR, invoicing, or payment issues.
• Attend bi-monthly wine and spirits product and sales training meetings.
• Demonstrate the MadVine's mission, vision, and values in all responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of retail or distribution experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of wine and spirits industry trends and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic mathematical skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
• Has a strong commitment to customer service with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.
