Key responsibilities
Partner with the Head Customer Experience (CX), NAM
Be an active participant in the CX Management Team
Collaborate to design efficient organizational structures enabling the business strategy
Act as sparring partner and courageous coach to senior leaders helping them to develop
Support with building high performing teams that are prepared for the future needs of the organization, on promoting a high-performance culture and addressing performance improvement needs within their teams.
Support senior leaders through strategic parts of annual HR cycle.
Provide guidance on employee retention & recognition options, e.g., development opportunities, employee recognition programs, etc.
Deep involvement in hiring needs/candidates at the senior leadership levels
Provide advice & guidance on select exit scenarios (individual cases & mass redundancy), ensure compliance with local labor law, manage process down to CEO-3 (some instances CEO-4), and support communication to employees
Discuss with senior leaders the business needs for International Assignments, initiate and support the IA process with necessary local input. Review with People Partner organization.
Work with hiring managers on creating a comprehensive onboarding plan for new joiners in senior leadership roles, with key focus on driving aspects related to the people strategy, culture and leadership. Regularly check in with hiring manager regarding onboarding of new joiners
Strategic HR
Actively contribute to the business strategy
Lead the people agenda related to M&A and integration activities when directly impacting the CX organization.
Work with CoEs to prioritize and develop Maersk’s future HR policies and processes based on short-and long-term business needs
Identify and close capability and competency gaps, culture enhancement, workforce planning, etc. in close partnership with CoEs and People Partnering organization
Drive the succession planning of key positions and long-term talent development in the function
Develop strong HR talent though indirect leadership and role modelling
Contribute to the forming of business strategy and translating it into a people and organization strategy
Drive Employee Relations Agenda
Drive the HR agenda
Build a bridge between global HR agenda and NAM regional strategy
Foster a culture where the Maersk behaviors and values are embedded and on which business decisions are made
Liaise with the People Partnering organization to drive and implement HR strategic priorities and to ensure HR service delivery is matching the needs of the business
Proactively drive a culture of collaboration and sharing across the Strategic HRBP community ensuring alignment across the business
We are looking for
A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in HR Business partnering positions within a global matrix organization.
Excellence in influencing senior stakeholders, conceptualizing and shaping strategies, challenging perceptions and expanding points of view while acting as the trusted advisor.
Resilience and maturity in dealing with change/uncertainty and delivering results in challenging environments.
Experience in M&A’s and subsequent integrations highly desirable
