About the Position:
This role requires a licensed mental health professional to provide consultation and counseling services to military service members, their families, and installation command staff at military installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides non-medical, short-term counseling services directly to eligible service members and their families at assigned locations.
- Delivers training and health presentations, participates in health fairs, and other base/installation activities as requested.
- Enters counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application while maintaining client/service member confidentiality.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources and military populations.
- Provides MFLC response to critical incidents, surge events, and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the OSD program manager.
- Manages duty-to-warn and restricted reporting situations according to DoD protocol.
- Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participates in regular individual and group supervision.
- Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.
- Al other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health-related field.
- Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory, or Commonwealth that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level competencies in technology and software (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Smartphone/Tablet and application navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).
- Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned, in order to accomplish job functions, and to respond quickly to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation.
- Pass a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) Clearance, an Installation Records Check (IRC), Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprints Check.
- Vehicle Operator's License Requirement: Possess a valid U.S. state vehicle operator's license.
