Job Summary
Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a skilled Military Adult Therapist to join our team at Ft McCoy. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive counseling services to military service members and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling directly to eligible service and family members at assigned locations, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referral to resources, and follow-up as indicated.
- Deliver training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base activities as requested/directed.
- Enter counselor activity data daily through smartphone or web application to ensure accurate reporting from assigned installation while maintaining client/service member confidentiality.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with community resources and military populations, partnering with the Point of Contact (POC) to provide MFLC services that address the needs of the installation.
- Respond to critical incidents, surge events, and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense program manager. Counselor will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health-related field.
- Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory, or Commonwealth granting authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Demonstrate intermediate-level competencies in technology and software, including Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet, and video-conferencing platform navigation.
