The opportunity
As a Process Engineering Technician within our Eyepiece Factory Process Engineering team, you will work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and R&D teams to introduce new waveguide products and technologies in a factory environment.
Location: This position requires being fully on-site at our Plantation, FL (HQ) facility, to ensure seamless collaboration and hands-on support for daily operations. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.

As a Process Engineering Technician within our Eyepiece Factory Process Engineering team, you will work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and R&D teams to introduce new waveguide products and technologies in a factory environment.

What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the qualification of new precision manufacturing equipment by running experiments, repeatability, and tool matching studies with the guidance of Process Engineering
- Operate and train others on new and existing equipment, including generating SOP documentation
- Document and report results from experimental and process development work
- Perform detailed inspections of completed work using defect inspection systems and optical metrology equipment
- Assist engineers to improve the quality and capability of new processes based on outcomes of DOE
- Support the cross functional team by participating in RCA, 8D, and PFMEA processes
- Associate’s degree with 5 years, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of hands-on experience in cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environments
- Strong ability to document processes and track details, and communicate nuances
- Proficiency in operating manual, semi-automated, and automated tools and equipment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in basic statistics and data analysis (SPC and control charts)
- Experience with Epson SCARA robots, laser cutting technology, and/or optical testing equipment
- Yield Enhancement project experience
- Proficiency in CAD (PTC CREO) for viewing and editing designs
