Position Overview:
Our Front of House Team is the first face of the Magic & Wonder experience! They are responsible for creating a warm, inviting and “wonder-filled” environment for our guests. This starts from the moment they arrive in the parking lot to when they enter the theater space and beyond! Front of House Team Members curate the best possible experience by energetically greeting our guests and ensuring that they feel welcome and cared for. This comes in the form of popping popcorn, selling tickets and gift shop items, to keeping our public areas squeaky clean and more! Our Front of House Team Members love to engage with our guests, have an eye for detail and can work both solo and in team environments.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Welcome all guests with a sincere smile that puts them at ease and makes them feel at home
- Create a fun guest-focused environment in the lobby. This may be done through special activity events, required uniforms/accessories, answering guest questions, suggesting merchandise or concession items, demonstrating how to use merchandise, or just by sincere and kind engagement.
- Greet buses using predetermined talking points to allow guests to understand how to enter the building, where they will go, and directions for what to do once they enter
- Engage guests by taking Souvenir Photos as individuals, families, or groups. The Front of House Team may assist with the editing, framing, distributing, and selling these photos as needed
- Operate all POS systems necessary to fulfill any guest orders for both the gift shop and concessions. This includes our merchandise/concessions system as well as our ticketing system.
- Stock all products at concessions and gift shop
- Work closely with servers to fill orders placed from guests at the tables using QR Codes
- Manage the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby, parking lot, front entrance area, giftshop, concessions and restrooms throughout the day to ensure guest enjoyment
- Perform all daily/weekly area & equipment maintenance tasks delegated by management
- Set up & tear down the pre-show guest photo area and cast “Meet and Greet” area in the lobby.
- Must be comfortable bending, squatting and standing for long periods of time (also comfortable lifting up to 35 lbs)
- Participate in all required meetings (individual with supervisor, team meetings, and company meetings (Wonder University, All-Staff Meetings), to stay up to date with changes, grow as an employee, and support your team
Qualifications/Skills
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Friendly, uplifting and positive attitude
- Self motivated and an eye for detail
- Works well in fast paced environments
- Can work well with others and by themselves
- Helps with tasks in other areas of the theater to support other team members and management when necessary
