CAD Operator / BIM Coordinator

Joseph J. Magnolia Inc. (JJM), headquartered in Washington, DC (with CAD operations located in Laurel, MD), is looking for an experienced Senior CAD Operator/BIM Coordinator to join the team ASAP.

The CD Operator / BIM Coordinator must have extensive experience, specifically in the mechanical plumbing/new construction industries.

Requirements:

• Strong Knowledge of the Construction Process and Mechanical Systems/Modeling using Revit Software & Functionalities, Model Review, Clash Detection and Coordination Workflows
• Strong Knowledge of Software Applications (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, Navisworks, Vic Tools)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Systems Piping/Equipment Layout

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed schematics and drafting for various projects.
• Coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes using NavisWorks and Civil 3D to ensure project accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate mechanical design and plumbing systems into project plans.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback and project requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain organized documentation of all CAD drawings and revisions for future reference.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
