What you'll do
The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance to ensure that the organization meets its objectives. This role involves managing the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities and supporting the senior management team with insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various departments. In addition, this role will :
- Manage general ledger accounting, including all subsidiary ledgers and maintain schedules validating the integrity of the financial statements.
- Generate accurate reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods for review by senior management including financial statements and other reports.
- Recognize and report any significant impact items affecting the financial statements.
- Help with development of others on the team.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures for the Business Units.
- Maintain systems of internal control that adequately safeguard company assets and minimize the chance of erroneous financial information.
- Compile accurate reports in fulfillment of financial regulatory requirements.
- Compile accurate reports related to Corporate Tax requirements.
- Assist in providing information relating to budget vs. actual variances, driving improved understanding of variances and results.
- Participate in business improvement teams and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in implementing or improving system functionality specifically relating to accounting.
