Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café, ensuring a high standard of service and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for our neighboorhood cafe with experience in restaurant management. You will be responsible for supervising staff, training team members, and maintaining an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Verify and count drawers and safe.
- Prepare reports and deposits.
- Assist in daily operations.
- Manage daily café operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in food preparation and service.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas.
- Develop training programs to enhance staff skills in customer service and food preparation techniques.
- Utilize Toast Tab POS system for managing orders, payments, and tracking sales performance.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong background in food preparation, causual and fine dining service standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Familiarity with training development techniques to enhance staff performance.
- Knowledge of Toast Tab POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred, excel and microsoft office products is a must.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
