Title: Instructional Designer and Assessment Coordinator
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit, Level 3. This position is budgeted at $56,469.65
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Dean of Academic Affairs, CMCC’s instructional designer and assessment coordinator is responsible for leading and assisting faculty with the development, delivery and assessment of face-to-face, online and hybrid courses by providing expertise and guidance in the use of curriculum design and instructional techniques. This is a campus-based position with occasional remote workdays. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Being the Brightspace LMS point of contact
- Serving as a resource to faculty by supporting, promoting and training various innovative modes of curriculum design, instruction and assessment practices, as well as course accessibility requirements
- Providing guidance to faculty on the development of outcomes-based curriculum and related assessment activities (syllabi, curriculum mapping, course embedded assessments, rubric development, etc.)
- Developing and/or scheduling faculty professional development opportunities to include sessions on instructional best practices and workshops on using the LMS and other campus-based technology
- Overseeing and promoting the Center for Faculty Development and Exchange
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Experience in curriculum design
- Demonstrated experience with learning management system(s)
- Experience teaching at the college level
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with the Brightspace LMS
- Community college teaching experience
