Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls to contact patients and gather accurate guarantor, demographic, and insurance information.
- Provide pre-procedure instructions and confirm appointments with patients and families.
- Participate in department projects, team meetings, and additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including effective listening, clear communication, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with everyday computer tools (email, data retrieval, internet/intranet) and experience working in electronic medical record (EMR) systems is required.
