Majors Plastics, a 100% employee owned plastics molding company is looking for a Material handler for our Injection Molding department. The Material handler will provide support to manufacturing with sufficient materials and supplies, containment of all plastic resins, and transportation of both raw and finished goods to designated areas as determined by IQ materials management system (IQMS).
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Schedule:
Monday -Friday, some weekends required.
6:30am -3:00pm
Position responsibilities
- Report 30 minutes prior to your assigned shift. Walk through with previous lead person to determine priorities based on information obtained from logbook and IQMS. Review these priorities with Shift Supervisor.
- Inventory machines with plastic resins so machines do not run dry. Make sure all equipment is in place for specific jobs and is running functionally. Check the temperature of the hopper and dryer.
- Keep the machine area clean and organized, making sure all extension cords and hoses are neatly tied and off floor and pallets square to the machines.
- Clean machine, hopper loader, screens, material hose and grinder after each usage to eliminate contamination to next product run. Maintenance grinders, if necessary.
- Periodically walk-through production floor and inventory levels of plastic resins at each machine (gaylords, auger feeders and hoppers). Restock materials and supplies.
- Remove empty gaylords (remove tags) and finished goods from production floor to staging area in warehouse or final lot.
- Empty blue trashcans from production floor, trash from lunchroom, and warehouse at the end of each shift daily. All trash should be taken to compactors. Keep the work area clean.
- Make sure materials, supplies, and plastic resins are restocked throughout your shift and at shift change.
- Interact with shift supervisor on job completes, material usage, and other related problems. Work as directed.
Knowledge / Skills/Abilities
- Hands on, mechanically inclined.
- Forklift experience or certification.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to climb.
- The ability to lift, push or pull up to 75 pounds.
- The ability to stand and walk between various departments and areas.
