We are looking for a Responsible Level III with leadership ability to lead our talented NDE Team.
Job Responsibilities
Create, edit and maintain all NDE related system operating procedures, work instructions and program documents, ensuring NDE procedures adhere to the latest industry and customer requirements.
- Maintain and approve written practice for control and administration of NDE personnel training, examination and certification (reference SNT-TC-1A and NAS410);
- Train, develop and monitor technical proficiency of NDE personnel, including auditing and testing to ensure compliance to internal, industry and customer requirements.
- Develop, qualify, approve and designate NDE procedures and techniques;
- Participate in customer and certification audits;
- Assign daily work to NDE team, managing internal operations requests for support in a timely manner
- Interface with engineering to review job requirements and plan NDE operations;
- Provide NDE technical expertise to internal and external customers;
- Conduct planning of jobs
- Attend meetings to support operations - production control planning, pre-release meetings
- Assist with problem solving for shop floor operational issues related to NDE
- Ensure the NDE team work schedules support operational needs, including overtime required
- Conduct regular communication meetings for the NDE team and for individual personnel to support engagement and development.
- Evaluate skill level and performance of personnel per company process and policy.
- Investigate any anomalies- Non-Conformances (NC's), job overruns, accidents, incidents, define and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide any support to team members to help them do their job - material, supplies, instructions, etc.
Requirements :
Must have required education and experience to meet ASNT Level III standard in at least two NDE methods, preferably including MT, PT or VT. Must have ability to certify qualifications and complete any required additional education and testing for other needed NDE processes within a reasonable time period from employment start date. Must have verifiable work experience and documentation of hours for Level II / III NDE certifications that meet ASNT requirements.
