ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the creation and delivery of outdoor activities that embody the spirit of Lone Mountain Ranch.
- Oversee the Activities Supervisor and Youth Program Supervisor, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
- Share responsibilities for managing the Outpost alongside the Retail and Front Desk Managers, making sure guests are outfitted for adventure with care and attention.
- Develop and implement policies for outdoor activities and ensure the trails and signage are thoughtfully maintained.
- Build genuine relationships with staff, guests, and community members to foster a welcoming and positive environment.
- Inspire the team to provide exceptional service, uphold safety, and create memorable experiences.
- Stay deeply connected to the land and trails, ensuring every guest has an authentic and enriching experience.
- Ensure that the equipment used in all activities is well-kept, safe, and ready for every guest’s adventure.
- Ensure guest safety and maintain the appearance of the entrance to the Outpost, which may include shoveling and snow removal during winter months.
- Be proactive in observing the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the Ranch by noticing and addressing small details, such as removing litter, tidying up outdoor furniture after guest use, or noticing when wildlife activity impacts the property.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of management experience, hospitality experience, and outdoor activity experience, or a combination of the above.
- Extensive experience in outdoor recreation, particularly hiking and skiing.
- Strong understanding of trail maintenance and signage.
- Proven leadership skills with a commitment to growing and supporting staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various departments.
- Familiarity with MS Office and PMS systems.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and manage physical tasks, including frequent stair navigation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive in snowy and icy conditions when necessary.

- A high-energy, indoor and outdoor environment that requires constant movement and engagement with guests and staff alike.
- Comfort in working in dynamic conditions, where no two days are the same.
- The ability to lift and carry equipment as needed, and move about the Ranch, including frequent travel up and down stairs.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions depending on the season’s activities.
- Must be able to drive in snowy and icy conditions when necessary, and proof of a valid driver’s license is required.
- Adherence to uniform requirements, contributing to the overall professionalism of the team.
