What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant position at Makor Management?
Job Summary:
MAKOR Management LLC is seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our company as a Property Accountant. As part of our team, you will process daily and month-end transactions, maintain balance sheet schedules, reconcile property taxes and other liabilities. The Property Accountant reports to the Controller, and will also interact the accounting team, office administrator and property managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
· Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
· Prepare monthly, quarterly financial packages
· Reconcile property taxes
· Post bad debt journal entries per property manager’s report
· Process monthly management fees
· Assist management with year end audit / tax prep
· Assist management with special projects and other tasks assigned
· Challenges and stream-lines functional tasks for maximum efficiency
· Provides support and back-up assistance to other Accounting team members, as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
· 2 years of general accounting experience; experience in real estate property accounting is preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
* Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software is a plus

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
