Summary:
The Sourcing and Integration Specialist is responsible for identifying and qualifying sources of supply for current and/or future parts, components or materials as well as organizing and managing the onboarding of new suppliers and new parts, components and materials. Using current and developing processes and practices, this position shall execute and drive best value for Malibu Boats, Inc. and the specific business unit customer through a balanced approach of supply chain objectives (design, performance, quality, delivery and cost). The Sourcing and Integration Specialist will work closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, purchasing and other personnel in the execution of requirements.
The Sourcing and Integration Specialist is a detail oriented individual who can negotiate with both suppliers and internal customers without losing sight of the objective, is self-motivated and able to multi-task.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies qualifies and recommends new sources of supply for parts, components and materials
- Uses best practices to facilitate supply chain lifecycle of new product introduction
- Develops and improves on project tracking tools
- Works closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing and purchasing teams to meet key NPI milestones
- Develops, onboards and integrates new/current suppliers
- Issues and evaluates Requests For Quotations
- Evaluates supplier quotations utilizing appropriate analysis techniques with emphasis on performance, quality, price, delivery, and service to meet requirements
- Negotiates, when necessary, driving best value (quality, delivery, and cost objectives) and mitigating risk to Malibu Boats
- Summarizes Source Selection recommendations and decisions
- Implements and Negotiates agreements and contracts when required or necessary
- Investigates and Recommends potential cost savings through alternative Suppliers or parts Investigates, Recommends and Executes sourcing initiatives on savings, supplier performance, risk mitigation and supplier base rationalization
- Works as a member of a cross functional team
- Documents performance to action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects
- Handles requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes
- Issues Purchase Orders for samples and limited quantities of parts from potential new sources
- Drives the parts and process qualification in coordination with the Supplier Quality Team
- Facilitates communications between potential suppliers and internal teams
- Facilitates transition of supplier and/or part to purchasing team members (buyers)
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Understanding of supply chain principles, processes and practices.
- Understanding of ERP/MRP and Inventory Control principles and concepts.
- Ability to assimilate requirements and communicate such to internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels.

- Proficient in negotiations at numerous levels.
- Ability to read and interpret business documents, drawings and data.
- Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent from a four-year college or university in business, supply chain or related field; or five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents, procedures, or governmental regulations in English.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, electronic mail, work instructions and procedures, as examples, in English.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to effectively conduct meetings in person and with technology assistance.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute data using standardized formulae.
- Ability to calculate volumes, quantities, discounts, proportions, percentages, et ceteras.
- Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
