We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our leadership team at John Hancock. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving our sales strategies and expanding our customer base. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of in-market Regional Directors and ensuring the achievement of regional sales targets.

Position Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed individual and collective annual sales targets, aligning with the company's overall goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and increase John Hancock's market share.
- Collaborate with the regional director team, including the RVP, Internal Wholesaler, and sales support, to grow the customer base and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance John Hancock’s brand appreciation within the region.
- Manage team activities to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Review sales KPIs to assure growth in the proper customer segments.
- Work with training to drive individual and group curricula, optimizing consistent messaging and delivering John Hancock's unique products and solutions.
- Provide readouts and insights on team performance to senior executives.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Underwriting, Advanced Markets, and Product Development, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Partner with the Regional Sales Vice President, Advanced Markets Consultant, Internal Wholesaler, and Product Competitive and Intelligence Team to form a growth strategy targeting the mass affluent customer segments, increasing application volumes, and covering more lives.
- Coach and mentor the regional director team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Work alongside the National Sales Director to align regional strategies with national objectives and drive overall regional plans.
- Adopt a forward-thinking approach to sales management, using data insights to empower sales growth and adjust sales motions as needed.
- Manage the team's budget, travel, and expenses to meet annual targets.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, market trends, and accurate forecasts to senior executives, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
