SUMMARY: Lead assigned workers in the receipt and shipment of high-quality dairy products by coordinating the daily work assignments. Be actively engaged in the selection, staging, rotation, loading and shipment of all company products. Continually and consistently in force GMP and housekeeping policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Actively enforce safety rules and company policies by leading by example.
- Plan and organize available resources (employees, materials, time, and equipment) to best meet load out, quality, and safety goals. Monitor and adapt plans throughout the shift as needed
- Lead daily shift meetings
- Effectively communicate and coordinate product/resource availability with production department.
- Actively engage in waste reduction efforts in all areas. Monitor and record necessary waste tracking documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining high sanitation standards.
- Ensure all required process control documentation is completed.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments.
- Train new employees in job duties.
- Required to cover various positions and shifts in department when needed.
- Promote retention and provide a workplace culture that is clean, organized, positive, safe and that supports the mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 1 year of related experience.

- Must have written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly across all departments.
- Knowledge of shipping and inventory procedures.
- Excellent organization and creative skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job will be performed in a refrigerated warehouse and will work around warehouse machines and equipment with moderate noise levels.
Works in the cold storage area at a temperature of no lower than 34°F.
