About the Job
Maple Leaf Farms is seeking a highly skilled Yard Dog Driver- CDL Class A to join our team. This individual will be responsible for staging and moving tractor trailers to ensure they are ready for unloading, loading, and transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a valid CDL - Class A.
- Ensure pre and post operational equipment checks and logs are maintained in compliance with Maple Leaf Farms policies and DOT regulations.
- Organize trailers within the space available to promote efficiency of daily moves.
- Obey all traffic laws and drive safely in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Perform basic functions of a computer and fill out daily paperwork with legible penmanship.
- Know how to properly use scaled for weighing vehicles.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL - Class A.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
