Maple Medical is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our innovative team. As a CMA at Maple Medical, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide cutting-edge biologic treatments and personalized care for patients seeking alternatives to surgery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care. The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to support patient needs and enhance the overall patient experience. Duties will be split between the front and back office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical and Front Office Support.
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient consultations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and treatment goals.
  • Assist with advanced biologic therapies under provider guidance. This includes supply preparation, patient preparation, and recovery as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for all procedures.
  • Help maintain a safe working environment for all staff and patients by following proper procedures and protocols.
  • Administrative Duties :
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient emails, texts, and portal messages.
  • Communicate treatment plans and follow-up instructions to patients.
  • Check in patients, collect payments, and assist walk ins.
  • Scanning and document processing.
  • Patient Care.
  • Ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience.
  • Educate patients about biologic therapies and post-treatment care.
  • Address patient inquiries and provide empathetic, professional support.
  • Ability to work Monday- Thursday 7am to 5pm with an occasional Friday with appropriate notice.

Requirements : Qualifications

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in medical assisting preferred but not required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with biologic therapies or regenerative medicine is a plus. Not required.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and EHR systems. Athena Health is a plus. Not required.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA) and professionalism in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
